Mark Monaco is a veteran of country music. At the young age of 19 he was an intern with DECA records in Nashville and worked for Garth Brooks manager Pam Lewis. Since leaving Nashville Mark has spent his time performing and working Texas and has 2 records under his belt. In 2002 he released American Highway and in 2005 Alternate Frequency.

The later project contained the hit “Time for This Cowboy to Run,” which enjoyed wide airplay on Texas radio. One of Mark’s hallmarks is his high energy live shows. Monaco is an incredible showman and stage performer who exhibits some amazing strength and flexibility as he moves and jumps on stage. His vertical leap could land him a spot on some simi-pro basketball teams. Mark never leaves anything behind on stage when he is performing. He pours it out every time he steps up and straps on the telecaster. In addition to being an exceptional live performer with a tremendous band, Mark is an accomplished studio musician.

On both his records he performed most of the tracks for all of the instruments except the bass. He has been a drummer since age 8 and can hold his own in the studio with the hardest of studio instruments to get right. There are drummers, and then there are studio drummers. The drum track on any record is incredibly important and Mark’s ability to do his own drums on his records is an incredible tidbit.

The Mark Monaco band is heading back in the studio in spring of 2007 to record his third project. He can always be found touring Texas and the region and has a regular Wednesday night gig in San Marcos Texas at the Green Parrot club.
